The kitchen and the kitchen garden are full of herbs, spices and foods, which can heal and support health. This workshop will look at these and discuss how we can use them for safe and effective natural remedies. The day includes practical sessions for you to learn how to make your own remedies.
Date: Saturday 10th June 2017
Time: 10am to 4pm – Early-bird discount if booking before the end of April 2017 – please see below.
Location: Meadow Herbs Clinic
Morning session: Welcome and Introduction
The day begins with an introductory session over a cup of herbal tea which will give you a chance to meet Su and other course members. Su will then ‘rummage’ through your kitchen cupboards looking for the foods, herbs and spices which help both to support and heal you and your family. She will look at simple foods like onions and garlic; combine these with herbs such as thyme and sage and spices such as ginger and chillies.
Lunch break (homemade vegetarian lunch provided)
Afternoon Session: Making and Tasting
Following on from the morning’s session you will be able to make a few simple remedies such as ointments and tinctures. You will be able to take home samples as well as the knowledge to make more when necessary.
Finally enjoy some of Su’s delicious homemade cake as we reflect on the day.
Notes will be provided and samples created throughout the workshop will be included in the price of the workshop. Basic vegetarian lunch is included along with refreshments throughout the day (please let us know of any specific dietary requirements). Course runs from 10am to 4pm at Meadow Cottage Clinic.
